Teranode corporate restructuring. BitcoinSvGuide surfaced that Teranode Switzerland AG (UID CHE-276.016.833) was legally renamed to VP Management Global AG on September 15. LightBSV added context that this was expected — the Teranode name was always a temporary label for the corporate umbrella group that manages nearly 20 companies, and this simply reverts the group holding name.
BSV-21 vs Arc token architecture. John (johncalhooon) posted the sharpest technical critique of the cycle, arguing Arc's model runs every token operation (mint, transfer, swap, burn) inside consensus with sub-second finality, while on BSV-21 "the chain never sees the token at all — miners mine a satoshi with a note attached, and an off-chain [indexer resolves state]." He followed up saying BSV-21 stablecoin usage requires trusting many more third parties. bsvarchie pushed back constructively, noting enforcing token rules in script is possible on BSV — OpNS does it for names today, and John himself is working on putting a proof verifier on chain, with maxopsperscriptpolicy as the current wall. timecoiner suggested building a zkp system optimized for BSV script and verifying soundness in Lean.
Teranode infrastructure explainers. The Teranode account continued its routine breakdown of the stack — libp2p (Kademlia DHT, GossipSub) for P2P networking, Aerospike for UTXO storage with sub-millisecond lookups, PostgreSQL for block headers, blob storage for transaction data, and Docker/Kubernetes for deployment. These are background posts describing the already-shipped architecture, not new announcements.
Teranode myth-busting from BSV Association. BSVAssociation pushed a thread rebutting critiques of the AWS 1M TPS case study, arguing the test used six distributed AWS regions across three continents, and that Teranode does mine blocks — just via subtree propagation rather than episodic batch validation. Bryan Daugherty (BWDaugherty) responded that a benchmark in a private AWS lab is not proof the public network is doing 1M TPS, decentralised at load, or adversarially tested.
Multicast throughput claim. LightBSV said in a reply that he has the multicast network system benchmarked at 16M TPS (25 Gbit) and it can go higher, framing this alongside a call to migrate off SVNode on mainnet toward Teranode.
bitplan gateway launch. Luke Rohenaz (wildsatchmo) launched bitplan gateway, an inference-purchase gateway that lets agents pay for any model — including Typesafe AI's new Jev model — with BSV via BRC-100 pay-as-you-go. He confirmed in a reply that the router works from the BSV browser on mobile.
Twetch store on the BSV Yacht Party. PaiyBit announced the world's first Twetch store is opening soon on the BSV Yacht Party, with sales starting shortly.
Treechat marketplace. Rosa (Felizmenteamar1) surfaced that Treechat now has a marketplace where users can list Ordinals for sale.
Janus swap. swapnowbish reported completing a BELLS-to-BSV swap on Janus in five seconds.
Cafe Casino. CafeCasinoLV listed BSV among its supported deposit assets alongside Lightning, BCH, ETH, USDT, and LTC.
BitsPay listing. PacArtCollect noted BSV trading fees at 0.1%, zero deposit fee, and 0.03 BSV withdrawal fee on BitsPay.
Kryptokrates on CFTC positioning. Kryptokrates argued the BSV community is watching the wrong US agency — the CFTC will build the market outside the securities box, and clear spot rules plus public ledgers plus compliant overlays are what enable institutional access.
Clarity Act failure and lobbying critique. The Clarity Act failed cloture 49-50 in the US Senate. LightBSV wrote the most-engaged reaction, arguing BSVA's work to sell a regulated BSV story to the Senate produced nothing when the establishment (including Cory Booker) voted no, and calling to focus on building solutions instead of politics. Hekto rebranded it "the CHARITY Act." Express_BSV and Gavin Mehl both argued Bitcoin was never built for legislation and the customer was always going to be machine-to-machine payment.
Bug at Blockstream reframes the confiscation argument. RealCoinGeek posted Kurt Wuckert Jr's editorial arguing that after a Liquid bug let someone mint $320M in BTC from nothing, Blockstream needs a mechanism that obeys a court — one BSV has already built. BitcoinSVCOL laid out the BSV process in detail: recovery uses UK legal processes and Swiss notary steps, with the electronic cash itself never reaching the courts. nemboll countered that "no one wants a proof of confiscation blockchain."
"Is anything actually happening?" from inside the tent. Robert.Bsv (robert_bsv) asked the community pointedly: if BSV tech is as good as we believe, why haven't we seen major Big Tech adoption yet? The post drew 68 replies and is worth watching as a sentiment marker. Separately, BsvPanama posted a critical thread arguing the "institutional validation" narrative was always cope and calling recent price suppression the inevitable result of a hollowed-out network.
Jack Liu market call. liujackc posted "the BSV move has started," drawing engaged replies. bgans (BgansEth) countered "the BSV move starts when I say it starts, not yet." Liu later posted a 100 BSV bounty for anyone who can make a token both shielded and locked at the same time.
Faketoshi patent invalidations. hascendp6 pointed to two more Craig Wright patents being invalidated, keeping the identity dispute alive on the discourse side.
Avalanche founder as r/bsv moderator. cryptorebel_SV pointed out the founder of Avalanche moderates the r/bsv hateclub subreddit and was closely involved with BCHABC's Avalanche POS and pre-consensus plans that led to the BSV split.
bsv0608 tracked a roughly 12% correction driven by the Clarity rejection and a US Fed 25 bps rate hike, but noted BSV held its 50-day moving average and stayed inside its ascending parallel channel. BullRushClub flagged HTX carrying half of all CEX BSV/USDT flow on a book that on the day showed just $4.83M in all-CEX 24h volume. CryptoClub also argued central bank action across three jurisdictions in 72 hours did not push BSV to new lows, framing that as absorption.
- The Teranode corporate rename raises the question of what the group-level operating brand becomes now that "Teranode" is being reserved for the software, but the reporting so far only confirms the legal name change and offers no group-level rebrand.
- johncalhooon's "BIG stuff shipping in [coming period]" is deliberately vague. He is clearly building something on top of the Arc-vs-BSV-21 argument but has not named it.
- Whether bitplan gateway sees actual agent-side inference volume, or remains a demo, is the near-term test of the "machines as customer" thesis several posters leaned on this cycle.
- — Whether any BSV-21 issuer or wallet publicly responds to johncalhooon's trust-model critique, or whether an on-chain proof-verifier design lands that addresses the maxopsperscriptpolicy wall bsvarchie described.
- — Follow-through on bitplan gateway usage and any Typesafe AI integrations that ship on top of the BSV-priced Jev endpoint.
- — Robert.Bsv's "why no Big Tech adoption" thread as a leading indicator of internal community patience, especially set against BsvPanama's more scathing take and LightBSV's call to abandon political lobbying.
