Jack Liu's Coinbase Push and NasdaqNancy's US Association Plan Expose BSV's Access Problem

A week dominated by the argument that BSV's biggest obstacle is not the tech but the inability of anyone outside the inner circle to actually buy, hold, or route value through it.

What Mattered

Protocol and Technical

New apps and infrastructure shipped this cycle. BeardPappa released SpiffyVault testnet beta, a desktop BSV wallet with SPV, P2P, and BRC-100 payment support. CollinCTO launched a browser-playable first-person shooter on BSV at Insertcoin.pro/fpsv in beta, with live sats payouts marked as coming soon. b0aseX pointed to bChat Protocol, a scheme for universal token-gated chatrooms on BSV. PaiyBit demonstrated a drone paid by the second via per-command BSV micropayments, with auto-return-and-land on payment stop. BotShelfVampire announced a BSV Traders Library of 75 free TradingView/MT4/MT5 resources and separately posted on local LLM work (Strata v0.1.31 running 125B-class models on consumer hardware).

Mining footprint widened. FoxBSV flagged Hash-Hut as a newly active BSV miner, with confirmation on Hash-Hut's own site. Siggi, defending the chain's current state against Wutao's teardown, listed Mining-Dutch, CUVVE, SA100, TAAL, GorillaPool, Kryptex, and Molepool as active miners and cited roughly 145k tx/day on mainnet.

Covenants and tokens. BitcoinSVCOL claimed the most advanced covenants on Bitcoin have been running on BSV for several months, linking to UTXO Engineer and sunnie.art writeups, arguing the market has not noticed. Vince Park pointed to Tokensquare's KRWQ Korean won stablecoin being live on BSV Teranode, tying it to the South Korean move to tokenize its market from 2027.

Teranode messaging continued its routine cadence. The @BSVTeranode account posted its standard throughput framings (Lightning capacity vs one second of Teranode, Visa TPS comparisons, 1M+ tx/sec claims, "what you can build on 1M tx/sec" list). These are the recurring explainer posts from that account and are background rather than fresh announcements.

PiWalletSV continued promoting its air-gapped, open-source BSV-only cold storage device built from off-the-shelf components with SD card seed storage.

Business, Adoption, and Access

The access gap became the week's throughline. NasdaqNancy's thread arguing you cannot open Coinbase, Kraken, or OKX and buy $100k of BSV like any other asset drew 29 and then 45 likes across two posts, with the follow-up explicitly rejecting the "but you can buy on obscure wallets" rebuttal on the grounds that institutional compliance desks will not touch unfamiliar venues. pr1234321 echoed this, saying AI is the open goal and BSV needs exchange on/off ramps, a stablecoin, and a payments wallet to seize it. CanalBitcoinSVe added the dry aside "or simply buy BSV (if you find out how to do it)." NickSimonTV complained holders are being "constantly messed around by exchanges closing, stopping onboarding, stopping swap trades."

Jack Liu's listing rally. Liu's single-line "retweet if you like Coinbase to list BSV" post hit 163 likes and 122 retweets, the strongest engagement in the window. Reactions were mixed: LegionBSV said a listing would help price but Coinbase does not deserve to profit after participating in attempts to destroy BSV; collincto noted this was Liu's "third time quitting BSV"; redsquiirel countered with "retweet if you'd like Jack Liu to support BSV."

NasdaqNancy's US association. She announced formation documents for a US-based $BSV Association went out, explicitly positioning it against offshore structures and emphasizing US compliance and capital access. The follow-ups asked US-based parties to call her and raised the question of whether existing offshore BSV entities "are even real."

Adoption data points. BSVAssociation highlighted Alexander Mann's work using BSV for verifiable agricultural data (71 likes, 19 retweets). saltavallas1 posted on Upbit's dominance of BSV trading volume, attributing it to Western delistings, Korean retail speculation, and concentrated liquidity. BullRushClub flagged HTX printing BSV volume without matching real supply, with price doubling. Vince Park connected Samsung, Hana Bank, and Hanwha acquiring 14% of Dunamu (Upbit parent) to the South Korean $7T tokenization timeline starting February 2027, with KRWQ settlement already live on Teranode.

SenorBrooz reported a successful 4-second swap of 0.2 SOL to 1.1 BSV via SwapNowBish, with the BSV in-wallet by the time he switched tabs to Twetch. Ruth Heasman reported earning $17 on Treechat for her music video. Express_BSV bought a digital bear on Twetch.

Community and Discourse

Wutao's teardown series. The most sustained critical content in the window was Wutao's multi-thread "Dismantling the BSV/Teranode Claims and Myths" series. The substantive arguments: BSV mainnet runs at roughly 1-35 real TPS (citing Chainspect at 1.53 tx/s and BitInfoCharts at ~1.1M tx/day) at well under 1% of claimed capacity; most traffic is self-generated data-writing rather than payments; Teranode remains "imminent" four years after announcement; 10-minute block times mean finality is 10 minutes or trusted 0-conf; the 2021 51% attacks (five in three months, including a ~100-block reorg wiping 570,000 transactions) remain unaddressed; and x402 (Coinbase-contributed, now under Linux Foundation) has already reported 165M payments, ~69k active agents, and ~$50M in volume without needing Teranode. Wutao's conclusion thread was that honest admission of failure is the ethical course.

Siggi's rebuttal. Siggi (82 likes, 16 retweets) directly engaged, listing active miners, citing ~145k tx/day as low but not dead, and pointing to continued Teranode scaling work. This was the substantive technical pushback of the week.

John Calhoon offered unsolicited advice to the Teranode team on delivery speed, acknowledging 2025 SvNode sunset promises are now stretching toward 2028 with "no end in sight." Separately he raised the idea of a legal fork of BSV on grounds the current proof-of-work chain does not follow the whitepaper, NAR, or DAR.

Wutao vs Nick/bsvdrip debated whether late 2028 is a legitimate horizon or moving goalposts, with Wutao arguing BSV advocates spent years calling mainstream crypto the scam while standing on Craig Wright's claims, and that the retail holder harm standard cuts both ways.

Wright/COPA re-litigation. HAFPINTMUSIC and others pushed the "Craig Wright is Satoshi, Bitcoin is BSV" line and speculated about COPA review. tuftythecat countered that the case being referenced has nothing to do with COPA or Wright, calling it baseless and fabricated by "Calvin's minions" to extract settlement money from exchanges for delisting. jionny112 argued most Calvin Ayre spending went to CSW lawsuits, patents, and a movie rather than into BSV itself. BitcoinSVCOL floated the thesis that if anyone finds a Satoshi key and signs a single transaction, BTC collapses on fear Satoshi might sell.

vamosvigilante (Rafael LaVerde) posted a notable intra-community analysis framing both Craig Wright and Jack Liu as stuck in the Karpman Drama Triangle, moving between Rescuer, Persecutor, and Victim roles. Posted twice, with the second version drawing 35 likes.

Metal Blockchain pitch. VisionTechX pitched Metal (XMD, XPR, usernames, LOAN) as the actual stack for agentic AI payments on the grounds BSV lacks stable pricing, zero gas, KYC, and automated liquidity.

Price and chart commentary came from bsv0608 (correction phase after $24 high, $18 dip now unlikely), cryptowithgopal (falling wedge on 1D), and Hekto's recurring bullish declarations.

Other

PacArtCollect and GlucoseNot continued the recurring "BSV is Satoshi's original design" evangelism aimed at outside accounts. Treechat earnings posts from Ruth Heasman and ElectroneumBel1 showed the micropayment-for-content model continuing to produce small but real on-chain revenue flows. phanpp11 released a protest rap video "You Stole My Name" by Eddie Monroe.

Unrelated noise: NDHuntSabs' post about hunt saboteurs rescuing foxes from the "BSV" (Blackmore and Sparkford Vale hunt) appeared in the pull due to the acronym collision.
